It also houses many local specialties. If you need something you may not know they carry, we suggest calling ahead. Diane’s is specialized compared to other St Augustine grocery stores and may not have all pertinent items.
Diane’s is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily (12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday) and is located at 841 S Ponce De Leon Blvd Unit #6.
Fresh Market Island A1A
For local meat and dairy, you absolutely can’t get better. Fresh Market Island A1A is the central spot for quality meat. The market sells primarily grass-fed beef, organic chicken and eggs, and gourmet cheeses. The seafood is almost entirely caught locally and may change weekly.
You can also find specialty wine and craft beers, many from St. Augustine and Jacksonville. The market is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily (10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday). It is at 110 Anastasia Blvd suite A.
Kyles Seafood
Kyles is one of the unique grocery stores in St Augustine, FL. It isn’t your top choice for general food needs. But for quality seafood specifically, you can hardly get better. Located right by the entrance of Fort Mose Park south of St. Augustine, this authentic little seafood shack provides slabs of fresh fish and seafood, including oysters, smoked mullet, scallops, smoked salmon, and Mahi. If you have a seafood expert in your party, you have to check out Kyle’s.
It is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed Sunday).
Winn-Dixie
You may recognize Winn-Dixie. It is an essential and popular staple for northeast Florida (over 40 locations in the whole area, though St. Augustine proper has about three). There’s a location north side, another at Us-1, and the final location by the beach.
It’s a no-frills grocery store, offering affordable prices and all the major grocery areas, including a bakery, seafood department, and a produce area. There’s a pet area if you need to bring some treats back to our pet-friendly vacation rentals. While not often local, Winn-Dixie offers all the staples you could need and often opens later than its competitors.

Publix is the definitive grocery in St Augustine, FL. There are about four signature locations in St. Augustine. You’ll find a well-stocked Publix grocery store nearby to all of our St. Augustine rentals. If you have that many guests, you are sure to need a nearby grocery store!
Fortunately, Publix delivers about all you could ask for. It’s known for its high-quality customer service and overall cleanliness. You’ll also have access to numerous perks like stamps, fax, and money order. All Publix locations are fitted with a pharmacy, though hours may be limited. Though notably, some Publix pharmacies are open to 9 p.m.
Of course, the grocery shopping is superb. Publix has its brand for virtually all items. You can also find organic options for the majority of products from Publix’s Greenwise label.
