St. Augustine is the perfect destination for a fun family vacation. Everyone in your group will find something to do, from the soft white sand beaches to the incredible food scene to interesting museums, unique shopping, and more.

While St. Augustine is incredible all year round, it especially comes alive in the fall. If you’re planning to spend Halloween in St. Augustine, you’re in for a (trick or) treat! There are tons of fun St. Augustine Halloween events every year, making the city the place to be. Here’s our full guide for Halloween events in the area, all conveniently located near our St. Augustine vacation rentals.

Dark of the Moon Lighthouse Ghost Tour

The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum offers a special ghost tour during the Halloween season. This is the only way you can get into the lighthouse at night, giving you a special look into this historic landmark. You can opt for a ghost tour, a 1.5 to 2-hour journey where a guide will take you through the Keeper’s House and the Tower. You’ll hear tons of interesting history as well as a few spooky ghost stories. You can also choose an investigation-only tour to see why this lighthouse is ranked one of the most haunted sites in the city! You’re sure to be spooked either way!

Sykes Family Farms Corn Maze

Corn mazes are a staple of the fall season, and Sykes Family Farms has one of the best every year. In addition to their incredible 9-acre maze, you’ll find other fun activities at the farm, such as cow milking, hayrides, and a play area for the kids. All of these fun experiences are just a 10-mile drive west of St. Augustine in the neighboring city of Elkton. The farm is open every weekend, and admission is just $13 per person.

The trolley tours at Ghosts and Gravestones are the perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit. You will jump on the trolley and let your Ghost Host tell you stories about the haunted sites you will be passing, like the Huguenot Cemetery, Old Drug Store, and Old Jail. Get up close and personal with a few of the places that make the nation’s oldest city one of the spookiest! Tours run daily from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. and last about 1.5 hours. Children under 4 are not allowed on board, and the tours may not be appropriate for children under 13.
