St. Augustine Farmers Markets to Visit on Your Next Vacation

St. Augustine, on Florida’s northeast coast, is known for its beaches, endless ocean views, and incredible history. People the world over travel here to enjoy the museums, shops, restaurants, and everything else the city has to offer.

St. Augustine claims to be the oldest city in America, but it has a secret that is as fresh and modern as you could want: farmer’s markets. These unique gatherings can get you up close and personal with the produce and crafts of the area, as well as the farmers and artisans that produce them – and Saint Augustine beachfront vacation rentals through St. Augustine Vacation Rentals can get you near them all.

Let’s find out more about the bustling and exciting St. Augustine farmers market scene and where you can find them.

Wednesday Pier Farmers Market

A farmers’ market in Saint Augustine is more than just an attraction. It’s a way to build community in this amazing destination. And no one does it better than the Wednesday Pier Farmers Market. True to its name, you’ll find this pet-friendly gathering open on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Billed as a place to “gather and learn something new from a farmer, grower, producer, or local artist,” you’ll want to get here early to see it all.

Crafts and art on display from local artisans include hard carved, sustainably sourced woodware to jewelry, goat milk soap, and stained glass. Sample the food, pick up something special, meet the vendors, and have a great day.

You can find the Wednesday Pier Farmers Market at St. Augustine Beach Pier Park.
